Prof. Head of the Biology Education Center
Prof. Michal Zion holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from The Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. Prof Zion is a full professor at the Faculty of Education of Bar-Ilan University, Israel.
Prof. Zion is also the Academic Head of the National Center for Support and Development of Biology School Laboratories. Her educational research focuses mainly on environmental literacy, 21st-century skills, open inquiry learning and teaching, and teachers' professional development. Michal has served in national and international educational scientific committees. Prof. Zion is the Head of the Israeli National Environmental Initiation "Take the Garbage with You". Michal is a travel and sports enthusiast. She participated in sports races and triathlon competitions. Michal has climbed many mountains including Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya, and Everest Basecamp. Michal Serves voluntarily as the head of intelligence population team in the Rescue and Save Unit of the Modi'in-Maccabim-Reut Municipality.
